LINE-SCAPE The garden harvests the forces of nature Designed by Emanuele Bortolotti, Paolo Villa,-Studio AG & P Milan With the participation of Azienda Agricola dellUccellina, Albarese (GR)
Gardens and parks cover large areas and absorb considerable resources. Places of nature par excellence, they have, over the years evolved into something more demanding to create and manage. In order to contrast this departure from a natural equilibrium, our starting point is the enormous energy that nature offers us, and which we can utilise by renewing virtuous circles. The energy generating nuclei produce a new landscape, which connects with a dynamic and eco-sustainable system. Technique and productivity develop new traces, or perhaps they are ancient ones. The marks which one reads on the ground are imprinted by natural elements, mans labours, machines, and animals: a new garden which grows. The biomass of the woods, the force of the wind, the benefits of water and the energy from the sun are harvested and used in the garden: a complex system which learns its techniques from agriculture, hydraulics and the new technologies. The fusion is expressed in a new design which exceeds traditional aesthetic concepts.
